Considering that the introduction of electronic cigarettes on the market, debates have now been carried out whether e-cigarettes actually help regular smokers in quitting their smoking habit. Even though several have claimed that e-cigarettes have assisted them in a great deal to stopping their habit of smoking, doubts have still been raised within the authenticity of such claims.
None really can argue the fact the use of e-cigarettes have drastically increased around the planet in recent years. Regardless of the rise in the e-cigarettes sale, several still fail to accept that the e-cigarettes should be utilized as an alternative to smoking.
Electronic cigarettes were originally introduced as an alternative to smoking. A Chinese pharmacist and a smoker, Han Lik, set his ambition to produce e-cigarette following his father’s death as a result of lung cancer bubblers. Lik was moved by the tragedy and wanted to improve others’lives as well by introducing something on the market that can lead smokers to give up smoking.
The idea was phenomenal, and was meant to be successful. However, the reluctance of health and safety authorities combined with the ambiguities surrounding the unit, it seems like the e-cigarettes won’t remain on the market for long despite their induction only for the good.
According for some reports, the use of e-cigarettes will astronomically increase if the ambiguities surrounding the usage and safety of the unit are clarified. Donna Manders, a certified tobacco treatment specialist working at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, was quoted as saying:
“Our patients are highly motivated to give up, but they’re confused concerning the mixed messages of e-cigarettes. A lot of them believe the hype that is out there, these must be safe because they’re being sold everywhere.”
On one other end, the e-cigarette consumers have only encouraging things to say about any of it technology. Many have clearly indicated that the use of e-cigarettes have only bettered their life, while several encourage one other smokers as well to utilize e-cigarettes to be able to quit smoking.
Phillip Scott, who smoked a pack per day since he was 19, stated he has effectively quit smoking with the help of e-cigarettes.
“I was tired of smoking excessively, but I was unable to quit. The most I managed without smoking was a day or two I guess. However, I’ve now effectively quit smoking, as a result of vaping.”
Melinda, mother of two and a former smoker, clearly mentioned how vaping changed her life.
“Initially, I thought it had been merely another trick to force people quitting smoking. However, once I used it, it completely changed my life. I was looking to give up, but my willpower wasn’t strong enough to keep me from smokes. Since I began vaping, I’ve started feeling better. I feel like I’m breathing easily and freely.”
Although these opinions don’t reflect the whole vaping community, it still signifies that e-cigarettes played an important role in changing their lives, and we could safely assume that vaping helps people in quitting smoking.
